New Inn Hotel

The New Inn in Gloucester is a charming hotel set in a 14th-century building, described as the finest example of a medieval galleried inn existing in Britain today. The traditional grill and carvery restaurant at The New Inn hotel serves delicious classic English food. There are four bars including an award winning Real Ale bar that offers 12 different cask ales and a coffee shop serving teas and cakes.
The restaurant can accommodate up to 48 people. There is also a function room that can accommodate up to 80 people available for weddings or other events. The New Inn is a timber framed building used as a public house, hotel and restaurant. It is the most complete surviving example of a medieval courtyard Inn with galleries in Britain and is a Grade I listed building. The announcement of Lady Jane Grey’s succession to the British throne was made from the Inn gallery in 1553.
