The Sword Inn

The Sword Inn is a warm welcoming traditional pub that has been trading at least since 1680 making it the oldest public house in Gloucester.
Half of the pub was once a tailor’s house where Beatrix Potter heard the tale about the tailor which later became her children’s book “The Tailor Of Gloucester”. Boasting a wide collection of real ales and food it’s the perfect spot for afternoon lunch or an evening pint.
